Italian Air Force - "V" Pilot

The "V" wing is called "Military Pilot Wing for Pilots of High Velocity Aircraft". In order to be awarded and authorized to wear this wing, the pilot must have been able to pilot an aircraft in horizontal flight capable of reaching a minimum of 500 kilometers in one hour and then maintaining said speed. - Information courtesy of Rudy D'Angelo
