Between the Wars

Often referred to as "The Golden Age of Flight" this is the era or Charles Lindbergh, Amelia Earhart, Roscoe Turner, Howard Hughes and many more legendary aviators in the US. Advancements in aviation technology came fast and furious and the fragile bi-planes and tri-planes of the World war 1 era led to aircraft that would soon become the wings of war in World War 2. Military aviation did not stand still during this period either and this section will endeavor to show the changes in insignia that happened during the 20s and 30s.
